There is still time to make a difference

December 29, 2020

Haiti is one of the most food-insecure nations in the world. Nutrition deficiency in children can cause a variety of severe health problems and also results in less energy, leading to poor cognitive and learning skills. The COVID-19 pandemic has made this dire situation even more severe, as the importation of goods has been severely curtailed.

In 2020, we partnered with Rise Against Hunger, an international nonprofit organization, to ship and deliver food packets to our healthcare partner facilities in Greater Cap-Haitien for distribution to their communities. Thousands of children and their families benefited from the deliveries. We have also partnered with other organizations in the past that provide nutrient-rich food for children, such as Meds & Foods for Kids. We hope to continue these and more partnerships in the future.

This is just one of many ways that we are working to build a stronger, more sustainable health system in Northern Haiti. Please donate to our annual appeal so that we may continue this important work into 2021 and beyond. Every contribution you make will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of your gift.
