Please Give the Gift of Pediatric Care

March 7, 2024

Help Us Raise $60,000 by March 31.

During a typical month, Justinien University Hospital’s pediatricians and nurses care for 550 children in the outpatient unit and admit an average of 101 patients. Neonatal disorders, diarrheal diseases, and respiratory tract infections are the three leading causes of hospitalization. Today, with political instability, soaring inflation, and scarcity of food, the pediatric unit is seeing increasing numbers of malnourished patients.

“Haiti is in an unstable condition right now. We must do everything we can to see that newborns and young children do not bear the brunt of the current crisis.”

—Emanise Muscadin, MD, Konbit Sante attending faculty pediatrician

This is how your donations will help reduce newborn mortality and improve care for all pediatric patients.

  1. Your donations support a full year of Dr. Muscadin’s teaching and mentoring of eight medical residents who are essential pediatric care providers in Justinien pediatrics.
  2. Your donations support pediatric nurses whose primary purpose is to improve outcomes for the youngest patients.
  3. Your donations support other on-site Konbit Sante supported staff, including an auxiliary nurse, pediatric feeders, a nurses’ aide, and an assistant facilities/stock manager.
  4. Your donations supply care providers with medical equipment and training.
  5. Your donations supply emergency medicines and medical supplies so families can receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay.

For more than twenty years, Konbit Sante has partnered with Justinien University Hospital to strengthen pediatric care. Please help us continue this important partnership by meeting or exceeding our goal of raising $60,000 by March 31. Your donation of $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, or any amount will make a real difference.

We are deeply grateful. Thank you!
