Imagine a sick child alone in a hospital at night, needing an IV, a dressing change, life-saving medication, or just reassurance and comfort. This kind of 24-hour care, provided by nurses, is vital to good patient outcomes here at home and around the world.
Until recently, however, there were no pediatric nurses on duty at night and on weekends at Justinien University Hospital, the largest hospital in northern Haiti.
In 2024, Konbit Sante responded to the challenge by hiring four highly skilled pediatric nurses to work at Justinien University Hospital. These nurses now staff the pediatric service around the clock, improving neonatal outcomes in this important, under-resourced public hospital.
This year’s pediatric fundraiser focuses on supporting these caregivers, the first responders, the multi-taskers, and the family liaison in the pediatric unit. Theirs are the expert and compassionate hands tending to young patients days, nights, and weekends.
Your Gift Saves Lives.
Your gift of $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, or whatever you can give, makes a real difference.
Help us help the most vulnerable: Help us meet our goal of $60,000 by the end of March.
With gratitude,
The Konbit Sante Team

As of this writing, the Trump administration is proceeding with its effort to shutter USAID and thus terminate our work at Fort Saint Michel. We are focused on securing funding from non-USAID sources so we can continue to serve the FSM community.
We are also pursuing payment for the work we’ve already done, for which the government has thus far refused to pay.
And, of course, our work continues at Unité de la Lutte pour la Santé (ULS), Hôpital Serving Santé, and Justinien University Hospital.
Thank you to the many generous donors who have risen to the occasion to support this work! We will keep you posted.
