Pediatric Care in Northern Haiti’s Largest Hospital Is More Important Than Ever

March 13, 2025

At the same time that Konbit Sante and other nonprofits around the world grapple with the shutdown of USAID-funded programs, pediatric care in northern Haiti’s largest hospital goes on and is more important than ever.

Konbit Sante’s pediatric nurses work with pediatric residents, attending physicians and other supervisors to care for the hospital’s youngest and most vulnerable patients 24-hours a day.

Please Support Life-Saving, 24/7 Pediatric Nursing Care. Your Gift Saves Lives.

This year’s pediatric fundraiser focuses on supporting Konbit Sante pediatric nurses. These caregivers are often the first responders, the multi-taskers, and the family liaison in the pediatric unit. Theirs are the expert and compassionate hands tending to young patients days, nights, and weekends.

“Haiti is in an unstable condition right now. We must do everything we can to see that newborns and young children do not
bear the brunt of the current crisis.”
—Dr. Emanise Muscadin, Konbit Sante Attending Faculty Pediatrician

Your donations help reduce newborn mortality and improve pediatric outcomes by:

  • Paying nurses’ salaries.
  • Providing training and supervision to equip nurses for daily challenges in the pediatric unit.
  • Providing emergency medicines and medical supplies so families can receive treatment regardless of their ability to pay.

Help Us Meet Our Goal of Raising $60,000 by the end of March.

We’re almost halfway to reaching the goal. Please help us help the most vulnerable. Your gift of $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, or whatever you can give, makes a real difference.
