Be Part of the Solution

When we wrote this appeal letter a year ago, we shared our determination to continue our work in Haiti despite very challenging circumstances and periods of great uncertainty. Since then, inflation, malnutrition, lack of public power, and other health burdens related to poverty have resulted in an even greater need for Konbit Sante to remain active in supporting the communities we serve and their health providers.

Over the past year, we have addressed many challenges, with your help, by:

• Supporting community health workers who provide health education, prenatal and post-natal home visits, vaccinations, and family planning information and supplies.
• Providing 7,700 birthing kits to support deliveries at 35+ facilities in northern Haiti.
• Importing 1.2 million water purification tablets to reduce the risk of cholera and food supplements to combat malnutrition.
• Sourcing and distributing EKG machines, endoscopes, computer radiography equipment, wheelchairs and other essential medical supplies and equipment.
• Working with our partners tèt ansanm (in Kreyol) to identify and address needs and solve problems that will help them manage their operations and address critical needs in their communities.
• As we look toward 2024, we are committed to expanding and improving the quality of and access to health care for people who live in the poorest regions in the north of Haiti.
