    We base our volunteer activities on the needs of our partner facilities and on the needs of the communities they serve. Volunteers’ skill sets are matched with those needs, whether they be medical training, management education, infrastructure improvements, training on research methods, or other essential services.

  • Volunteer in Maine

    Our headquarters is based in the Portland area. We have an office in Falmouth and warehouse space in Westbrook. We need volunteers to help with a variety of operational activities.

  • Take Action
    1. Assemble a birthing kit. Click here for guidelines on how to assemble one according to standards established by the World Health Organization. Plastic sheeting recommendation is at least 0.25mm thickness.
    2. Invite Konbit Sante to speak at your workplace, place of worship, club/organization, or home. Contact us and we will do our best to meet your needs.
    3. Participate in our Annual Maine Walks with Haiti 5K Walk/Run. 2022 information coming soon.Click here
    4. Volunteer to serve on one of our advisory committees. Konbit Sante’s committees meet once per month, and provide expertise on finance, fundraising, communications, and more. Click here to submit a volunteer application.
    5. Organize and host your own fundraiser–music concert, art sale, restaurant night, party… the sky is the limit! Just be sure to let us know about your fundraiser so we can offer our help to prepare for and publicize the event.
    6. Host a Haitian Metal Art Party. Haitian artists create beautiful metal art from 55-gallon steel oil drums that have been cleaned, flattened, cut by hand, and intricately patterned. All you need to do is invite a few friends, neighbors, or co-workers and supply the venue. We will set up the display and do the rest. For more information, contact us.
    7. Be a business that sponsors an event. Your business can positively impact the health and lives of people and the community of Greater Cap-Haitien, Haiti, by financially sponsoring a Konbit Sante event or fundraiser.
