Maine Walks with Haiti

Since 2010, Konbit Sante has hosted a June fundraiser to support our healthcare partners in Haiti. Maine Walks with Haiti combines music, refreshments, and Haitian art with a walk around Portland’s beautiful Back Cove during the famous Maine summer. Supporters are invited to run in a 5K race timed by a professional, take a leisurely walk around the race path, or simply raise funds by donating, becoming a sponsor, or participating in peer-to-peer fundraising.

Maine Walks with Haiti is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we depend on its success to fund a large portion of our annual budget. The money raised from this event goes directly to supporting our mission of helping our healthcare partners in Haiti provide quality care to their communities without interruptions in supplies or services.

For 2021: We Walk with Haiti

In 2020, we transformed Maine Walks with Haiti into a virtual fundraiser to enable our staff, volunteers, and participants to practice preventive measures during the COVD-19 pandemic. We are again making the event a virtual one in 2021 as a precautionary measure. This year’s We Walk with Haiti has been extended by two weeks, and will run June 1 to June 17. Supporters are encouraged to raise money virtually by setting up peer-to-peer fundraisers on our website and invite others to join their support of Konbit Sante.

You can participate in We Walk with Haiti by donating, becoming a sponsor, or by setting up your own personal fundraising page. Click here to begin walking with us today!
