Financial Information

Konbit Sante is deeply grateful for the generous support we receive that makes our work possible. One of our core values is to recognize the contributions of our donors, funding organizations, volunteers and staff. We strive to be a good steward of all resources entrusted to us, seeking the most benefit for the people of northern Haiti. With this in mind, our goal is to maintain open and transparent communication about our finances with all stakeholders. 2014 Funding

Our total income for 2014 was $495,925. Of the total, 41.8% came from grants and foundations for both specific programs and for capital improvements. We appreciate the support we received from the following organizations:

Almost 46% of our funding in 2014 came from individual donors, schools, companies and other organizations who supported us throughout the year, during our annual appeal and for our annual fundraising event, Maine Walks with Haiti.  Small or large, these donations make a major impact on our work in Haiti.  

In-kind contributions are also an important part of the support we receive, from office and warehouse space, to medical equipment and supplies, to outreach and educational opportunities for our Haitian colleagues. Our major in-kind donors for 2014 were:

Independent Audits & Form 990s 

Konbit Sante is proud to share our most recent independent audits and Form 990s, as evidence of our belief in transparency and accountability. 

Konbit Sante annually contract with an independent certified public accounting firm. The auditor is responsible for the preparation and fair presentation of Konbit Sante's financial statements in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States. This includes the design, implementation and maintenance of internal control relevant to the preparation and fair presentation of financial statements that are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.

Form 990s are annual reporting returns that 501c3 federally tax-exempt organizations must file with the IRS. They provide information on the organization's mission, programs, and finances.
