Donate Equipment and Supplies

itemsed

Thanks to the generous contributions we receive from medical communities, Konbit Sante organizes and ships one or two full 40-foot sea containers of equipment and supplies to Cap-Haitien each year.  Providing essential supplies is one of the most concrete things we can do to increase the quality of patient care.

When considering items of equipment and supplies for possible donation, please keep in mind:

  • Because of ease of repairs and availability of replacement parts, sometimes low tech is better than high tech.
  • Reliability is very important. Things sent to Haiti need to be in good working order.
  • Because of customs requirements and shipping lead time, we are not able to accept medications with expiration dates less than six months from the date of donation.

If you have an item you believe is a match for our needs, please email us at supplies@konbitsante.org describing the details of the item(s).  We will speak directly with our Haitian staff to confirm if your donation can be used in Haiti.  We will contact you to confirm if we can accept the items and coordinate transoirtation.

If you have a few boxes of miscellaneous medical supply items left over from your own medical care or that of a loved one, we recommend you contact us and if we cannot use them in Haiti, we will refer you to a partner who can.
